760.000 Kirkegårde, boligforeninger, parker, campingpladser og mange andre udendørsanlæg bruger mange timer på at holde grus- og stenbelægninger ukrudtsfrie. Heibjerg vil automatisere denne repetitive og kedelige opgave. Heiberg Robotten kan holde grus- og stenbelægninger, som sti og opholdsarealer, ukrudtsfrie. Ved hjælp af GPS- og kamera teknologi kan en selvkørende robot, navigere komplekse udendørsanlæg, detektere ukrudt og foretage store dele af ukrudtsbehandlingen. Robotten kan komme på stiarealer hvor store maskiner ikke kan, og med en kombination af damp og mekanisk slid dræbe ukrudtet. Dette fjerner arbejdsbyrden, og kan frigive mange timer til gartneren. Ved at bruge damp i stedet for sprøjtemidler, og foretage pletbehandling, så energi ikke spildes på allerede rene områder, reduceres miljøbelastningen væsentligt. Vandbaseret lugning eliminerer også risikoen for brande, kendt fra traditionel ukrudtsafbrænding.
Med et øget antal forbud mod sprøjtemidler på offentlige arealer i EU, skal de mange millioner europæiske park- og haveanlæg finde nye måder at udføre ukrudtsbehandling på. Heibjergs lugerobot vil være et attraktivt alternativ til sprøjtegift og drastisk reducere den manuelle proces. Vi er glade for den mulighed som Innofounder giver for at kunne accelerere udviklingen af lugerobotten, og bringe nye robotter til et erhverv der mangler hænder.

12.5 mill. Each year, more than one million planned surgeries in EU and US result in blood transfusion, reoperation or fatality due to uncontrolled bleeding in the hospital.
No single dressing can effectively control severe arterial or venous bleedings.
This project will develop a new class of general hemostatic dressings for surgical applications in hospitals for controlling bleedings. It will be the first treatment of bleeding, which uses Tissue Factor (TF), the endogenous initiator and accelerator of the extrinsic coagulation path responsible for hemostasis.
Previously, we have demonstrated that the binding of recombinant extracellular TF permanently to a dressing using a chemical linker efficiently stops severe carotid artery bleedings in minipigs, outperforming competing systems. Also, we have shown that the active TF protein in our system is permanently bound, is stable over time and safe.
In this project, we will develop a novel manufacturing technology, which can convert any general dressing system used in planned surgery – gauze, swaps, sponges, etc. - to become highly hemostatic in one simple high-yield manufacturing processing step.
The new hemostatic dressing systems will be tested in a pre-clinical laparoscopic ovary and in a spleen bleeding model, to illustrate the utility of the technology in some of the most challenging surgical applications.
