1.1 mill. circrete develops a scalable digital solution that enables the safe, documented reuse of load-bearing concrete elements from demolished buildings. Today, most concrete waste is crushed or landfilled, even though it often retains high structural value. circrete combines structural engineering expertise, non-destructive testing, and a digital platform that documents each concrete element’s properties through automated material passports. This creates trust for developers, designers, and authorities and makes structural concrete reuse both technically and economically viable. The market potential is significant: in Denmark alone, structural concrete reuse represents a market of more than EUR 25 million annually, with a much larger potential across Europe. circrete reduces construction waste and can cut the embodied carbon of new buildings by up to 80%. The solution supports the transition to circular construction, reduces reliance on virgin materials, and contributes directly to national and European climate targets. The Innofounder grant enables further development of circrete’s digital platform, large-scale validation of testing methods through pilot projects. This is essential to document impact, build market confidence, and prepare the solution for scaling. In the long term, circrete aims to become the leading digital infrastructure for structural concrete reuse in the Nordic countries and Europe, establishing a new standard for circular, low-carbon construction.

430.000 Boneglass – cirkulært højtydende materiale til byggeriet
Boneglass er et innovativt byggemateriale udviklet af industriaffald fra dyreknogler og slibeslam fra glasindustrien – reststrømme, der årligt forekommer i store mængder i Danmark, men som hidtil ikke har været en del af et cirkulært kredsløb.
Gennem fire års udvikling er affaldet omdannet til et højstabilt genanvendelsesglas med unikke æstetiske kvaliteter. Ved at integrere knogler i materialet opnås et karakteristisk og foranderligt farvespektrum samt høj styrke og holdbarhed. Sidste år er Boneglass for første gang anvendt i facadeplader, mursten og andre arkitektoniske løsninger.
Efterspørgslen på bæredygtige og æstetiske byggematerialer er stigende. Boneglass reducerer CO?-udledningen sammenlignet med konventionelt glas og produceres med anvendelse af vedvarende energi. Samtidig skabes værdi af restmaterialer, der ellers ikke genanvendes.
Med støtte fra Innovationsfonden Danmark arbejder virksomheden målrettet på at opnå nødvendige certificeringer og optimere produktionskæden i samarbejde med skandinaviske affaldsproducenter. Målet er at skalere produktionen og bringe Boneglass ind i større byggeprojekter nationalt og internationalt.
