2.2 mill. Advanced Surface Plating har opfundet og patenteret en metode, hvormed effektiviteten af alkalisk elektrolyse forøges signifikant. Resultater viser, at det er muligt at sænke spændingen for brintdannelse med 0,45V, hvorved energiforbruget til brintproduktion falder 15-20 %. Dette er selvfølgelig meget attraktivt ud fra et brintproduktionsperspektiv. Fra et forsknings- og innovationssynspunkt er der imidlertid mange fundamentale spørgsmål, der kun kan besvares gennem nærværende ph.d.-projekt.

A new era of hyperspectral technology is evolving as the technology has gained growing interest in the recent decade, mainly due to enhanced production methods and improved computing power. This project will be first-mover in implementing the latest technology and take advantage of it in rela-tion to the Green transition by participating in solving the global plastic challenge. The project part-ners are experts within optics (SDU) and plastics (AU) that together with a global industrial partner (Newtec) possess the necessary complementary knowledge and experience within hyperspectral tech-nology. The project engages all the skillsets as a new chip is to be implemented incl. the design of new optics, new electronics, new digitalization, etc. The resulting high-performance hyperspectral camera is to be calibrated and applied in plastic analysis and sorting. The development of new camera systems is expected to aid the recycling of ?500kt plastic waste in Denmark.
